Whayyyy overblown and more of a resource hog than a typical Hummer

Blah! This is just a way of justifying for our need for these environmental wrecking behemoths.

Nothing doing

Went to a movie today. Coffee and Ciggeretes. I reccomend it. Steve Wright, Iggy Pop and Bill Murray were great ( to name only a few ) but I wish Lou Reed and maybe Robyn Hitchcock were cast.

Mother of sun loss and precipitation
Ahh, sweet summer storms. Well it's not technically summer but who is counting? I am going to see Grant Lee Phillips tonight. Should be fun.

First day of the week

My brother was almost killed today because his factory defected tires that were replaced (Firestone brand) had a front right wheel that was not even tightened up. The wheel came off completely over a bridge and it was a miracle no one was injured or killed.
I went off to hear cicadas today because work was slack and I had am itching to get out of the office. This proved to be more than expected. Loud and trippy because I can’t even hear or find a single specimen of this insect anywhere within the few square miles of where I am living. Driving to where they were reported to be was strange because as soon as I got out of city limits the noise was apparent. I soon found them en masse. Flying everywhere and too numerous to really convey unless you were there to seem them all. They were everywhere on only a limited part of town. They seemed to resonate in a rhythm and I found areas where they must have been as loud as 8 decibels. This was too weird and I must find a good way to capture this sound. It was as loud as a jet going overhead. [More to come].
