Amazing how the time passes and I navigate away from adding anything new to this blog. It is definitely time to reflect and see what is going to happen to me in the coming few months. Will I not post anything new on here in a while or will I report back with word of forward progress? I can only say things have deteoriated here in the void and nothing seems to work. Well, wait I can only say things work well half of the time. The apartment I live in is blowing me away at the mere fact that I have come to live in an apartment.
Cycles that seem like bad dreams are playing out and I feel the need for a radical new change. This will either come swiftly or won't come at all.
I haven't purchased a digital recorder yet. The other day I found myself almost screaming in rage because the state of my portable CD player I take with me everywhere, especially on my bike, which I live on these days, has crapped out. I realized tonight that I do like some aspects of the good old CD over digital media sometimes. I have burned a bunch of disks a while ago and just keep them on the original CD spindle.
It's cumbersome yes but tonight I picked two of the tracks I needed with no problem at all and even in the dark. There is something tangible about holding something. I seem to need an artifact to remind me that the music is actually there. Just as the argument goes that vinyl had a nice big area to display the album art and CD sleeves give you a postage stamp to view.
Making progress at trying to figure out what it is I want to do in life. I'll keep you posted.
