Just don't get it.

We had an earthquake yesterday, My girlfriend and I thought it was one of the cats behind the couch. I had a faint inkling in the back of my mind that is was maybe a quake but dismissed it over the cat theory. An hour later we were watching the news and they were talking about a 3.6 earthquake about 25 miles from us. Ah,ha we thought! The news anchor was taking an eyewitness report from a man that struck me as odd. He said when he felt the tremor he at first thought it was a pet behind his furniture but he had no pets. Why the fuck would you think your pet was shaking your couch if you had no pets?"
